The live animal drawing experience at the zoo aligns with Visual Arts Standards and other art education standards by reinforcing observational skills, artistic techniques, and reflective practices. During the field trip, students will use their observational skills to draw quick poses to capture the movement and proportions of the animals within an environment. They will draw these in their sketchbooks to work on their animal drawings.
